The fine print
Contracts in development — not deployed yet. Planned rules become immutable once deployed.
Hatching
Up to 1,000 eggs per season. From about $7: egg #1 costs 0.003 ETH; price = 0.003 + (egg number − 1) × 0.000003 ETH, reaching approximately 0.006 ETH. A sellout totals approximately 4.5 ETH: 2.25 ETH for the vault and 2.25 ETH for Ponzi's cut. Traits are deterministic from the token ID, with no random trait lottery.
The hatch window lasts 7 days or until sold out. At least 30 eggs are needed to start. Otherwise it extends once by 3 days, then owners can claim full refunds, including the creator share held in the contract until the season starts.
Feeding nuggets
Anyone can feed any dino, using ETH through feed(dinoId) or existing $PONZISAUR through feedTokens(dinoId, amount). The ETH route buys tokens through Pons curve.buy before graduation and the Uniswap-v4 pool afterward, detecting graduation automatically. If buying fails, direct token feeding remains available. Each ETH feed buys tokens on Pons and can generate creator fees and bot activity. Minimum feed: approximately $1 in ETH; smaller feeds do not count. Owning multiple dinos is allowed.
Fitness = √(food value since the last meteor), with credited food capped at $20 per dino per day. Unfed dinos have fitness 0 and go first. For a normal strike, only food credited by the scheduled strike counts; later food belongs to the next round, even if someone summons the meteor late. For a bribe, the fitness cutoff is the bribe block.
Season 1 sends 50 % of purchased or directly fed tokens to the vault and burns 50 % through burn/burnFrom, reducing totalSupply. Below 50 % of the original 1 billion supply, burning stops and that share goes to the vault instead. The burn share is fixed per season.
Meteors and the board
After hatching ends, and after each strike, the next meteor is randomly scheduled 2–4 days later using on-chain block.prevrandao/blockhash. The exact time stays hidden until due; the site shows only the window. Anyone can then call strike(). The hungriest 20 % are laid off, rounded up, at least one. Ties eliminate the dino fed most recently first. With 10 or fewer alive (the board), exactly one is laid off each day. Meteors continue if feeding stops.
Bribe Ponzisaurus: the window opens 2 days after the previous meteor, or after 12 hours in the final ten. Pay 0.01 ETH (0.02 ETH in the finale) to call the meteor immediately: 50 % goes to the vault and 50 % is Ponzi's cut. The fitness cutoff is the bribe block. At most one meteor can hit per window. The random time remains the latest bound; once it is due, only strike() is available. Bribing pays no summoner's tip.
The caller submits the death list; the contract checks in O(n) that precisely the weakest dinos are included, in batches if needed, without sorting on-chain. Public view functions and the repository reference script allow anyone to calculate and check it. No external randomness subscription can expire. Simulated median durations: 80 eggs ≈ 5 weeks, 300 eggs ≈ 7.5 weeks, 1,000 eggs ≈ 10 weeks.
The summoner's tip is max(0.5 % of the current ETH vault, 0.0005 ETH), capped by the vault. The last dino becomes THE PONZISAURUS, a 1/1, and its owner calls claimPot(). Payouts from both vault balances: 70 % to first place; places 2–10 receive 8/6/4/2/2/2/2/2/2 % by order of elimination (30 % together).
Ponzi's cut
50 % of hatch fees and 10 % of ETH feeding go to the fixed creator wallet; the remaining feeding ETH buys nuggets. Pons creator fees remain 100 % with the creator. Creator hatch funds become claimable only when the season starts.
Careers and future seasons
Egg → baby after 1 survived meteor → raptor after 3 → suited T-rex after 6 → gold alpha after 10. The final ten earn the Survivor trait; extinct dinos become collectible grey fossils with their death meteor/date. All NFTs remain permanently.
Season 1 exposes ownerOf, statusOf, deathRank, survivorRank and champion. Season 2 reads those records: fossils get 24 hours early hatching and a 10 % discount; Survivors get one free egg; THE PONZISAURUS gets a free golden Ancestor egg, cosmetic only with no gameplay advantage. The next season uses a new contract and up to 1,000 new eggs.
Fixed rules and an emergency exit
No admin keys, no pause, no upgrade, no withdrawing the vault. Token address, creator wallet, prices and rules cannot change after deployment. Source code is verified on the explorer. All game steps are permissionless: hatch, feed, feedTokens, strike, claimPot, refund and startNextSeason; only the fixed creator address can claimCreator. Winners, refunds and creator funds use pull claims, never pushed payments.
If a due meteor remains unsummoned for 14 days, anyone can call emergencyEnd(): both vault balances split equally among living dinos' owners. After a season ends, anyone can start the next through the season factory with fixed rules and the same immutable creator address. The game can continue without the developer.
